Nordic Storm 34 - 37 Munich Ravens

Battle of the unbeaten, only one 0 remains.

Offensive Performance - 4*

  • Great opening score by Føns, great balance, and effort.

  • A lot of Nordic drops early in the game.

  • THREE interceptions from Tabor in the first half.

  • Offensives kicked into gear in the fourth quarter.

  • Stanley, with a crazy moss catch... gets called back, but that was mental.

  • Seelig with a great catch and run and an aggressive two-point conversion with 6 minutes left.

Defensive Performance - 4.5*

  • Early fumble forced and recovered by Nordic, then a fumble by Beaulieu.

  • Luke Glenna with a fantastic jump on the ball for an INT, then another super athletic play on the ball at the end of the first half to get another INT.

  • It was only in the fourth quarter that the units looked tired.

Ref Performance - 3.75*

  • Lots of flags early, but nothing too disruptive or incorrect.

  • Shame a game so good had to come down to a tight DPI

Commentary (English) - 5*

  • Both excellent as we expect them to be.

Big Moments/Game Drama - 4.25*

  • Many turnovers were forced by the Nordic Defence.

  • Fourth quarter scoring boom.

  • Last-second drive.

  • The only downside was a slow third.

  • Game losing field goal.

Individual Performances - 4*

  • Luke Glenna continues his DPOTY form.

  • Føns had some nice plays.

  • Seelig came in clutch.

  • Beaulieu is an ELITE receiver in Europe.

  • Toonga's streak continues.

Ending - 4*

  • A game-winning drive from the Munich Ravens after it looked like Nordic had it secured.

  • Late flag on a DPI to sell the game is a bit disappointing. It was a tough call; I'm more in favour of "letting the boys play" calls in games like this. It takes a point off for the disappointing nature.

  • Nordic looked like they could have tied it up, but the field goals have been an issue for them all year.

Overall Score - 4.21*

  • Great comeback from Munich again, they somehow find a way. Great offensive showcase in the fourth.

Games MVP - Malik Stanley

  • This was a hard one to pick. I want to go for Luke Glenna, but by my own rules, he can't win it as a loser.

  • Stanley made some big plays when they needed them most.

  • Drew the flag for the game-winning score.

Nice!

- I disagree a bit with the grade for the commentators. The main one kept having Green as the one to score the first TD.

Like mentioned it 5-6 times and went to “it’s Greens second TD of the season” ect , even when you could see a clear #1 on the replay. Took him forever to correct that - and had more like this through out the game.

For the DPI - clearly missed one in the 3rd Quarter on Okonkwo on the 4th down in the redzone. The DB grab and ristrict his right arm, so he can’t catch the backshoulder ball.

Could have been game defining - so I dont mind the one at the end…

Yes, that is a great point. Adisa didn't turn his head around, and I think that cost him!
