Prague Lions 13 - 47 Nordic Storm
I love the idea of a grade system for games so we can keep track of the best (and worst) of all time. I don’t want to limit this to a per-league basis; it’s all fun and subjective. We are using a star system with 7 categories, then calculating the average for our total score. There is room to change categories in the future if needed. Finally, there will be a few bullet points, if needed, to explain why we have given a certain grade.
Offensive Performance - 2*
Nordic was one-half of the grade and looked very solid.
Jadrian Clark, Glen Toonga and Brendan Beaulieu are the big three.
Prague never got going. We need to see them run more early; it looked like they had a spark when they did.
Prague OL was very weak too.
Defensive Performance - 1*
No wild defensive moments.
Prague could not stop the run game and looked passive in pass defence.
Nordic played well defensively, but never had to deal with much.
Ref Performance - 3*
Kept the game at a fast pace.
Missed a call or two, but nothing detrimental.
Commentary (English) - 3*
Again, inoffensive, hard to communicate a blowout.
Big Moments/Game Drama - 1.5*
Just when it looked like Prague had something, they would shoot themselves in the foot with a turnover or sack.
Nordic were up early and never looked scared.
One or two nice catches by Nordic.
Toonga, coming back from injury, added a full point to this grade.
Individual Performances - 1.5*
Brendan Beaulieu was excellent and dominated from start to finish.
Jadrian Clark is looking like an early MVP favourite.
Ending - 0.5*
Backups in for Nordic.
Consolation score for Prague.
Overall Score - 1.78*
Blow out from one of the top teams in the league. Prague fall in power rankings.
Games MVP - Brendan Beaulieu
3 TDs
Over 100 Yards (Stats not out yet)
