The European Football Alliance Team Rankings
The 2026 EFA season is here, and week one is in the books. Let's put them all in order. Send hate or love directly.
6 - Prague Lions (0-1)
-1 from the previous week
It was a bad week for the Prague Lions. They got blown out by the Nordic Storm 47-13 in a game where they did not get anything going on offence, the defence was, for lack of a better term, grim. That goes for all, I don't think, any import or homegrown played well at all. It doesn't help that they were awarded the Fiasco Player of the Week Award by Fourth Down Fiasco, harsh from them, but extremely fair.
There are many improvements needed; I think some Poles, Black Panthers, or an E spot could be good to use on the defensive line. Not everyone has Glen Toonga, but there are too many elite backs in Europe not to add more depth to run support.

5 - Frankfurt Galaxy (0-1)
-1 from the previous week
A little unfair perhaps, given they only lost by one point to the Paris Musketeers, but it's how they lost. Blown lead, turnover, players couldn't make the plays when they needed them to and a very poor coaching decision. On paper, it's a bad look.
Ethan Garbers did have some moments, and their defence looks very impressive at times. They do give tough looks to many teams in this league, so I project them to only be at this point for a single week. Improvements are needed in pass protection. Garbers can't be taking hits like this every week. In addition to scheming Easton some more touches and fixing the drop issues from the complimentary receivers.

4 - Raiders Tirol (0-1)
+2 from the previous week
I liked a lot of what we saw from the Raiders. A 30-point performance should not be looked down on, no matter who you play in the EFA. Krajewski looked very impressive. Very impressive. Aaron Jackson is exactly who we knew he was, Schneider is finally seeing meaningful catches and the stable of running backs is back to doing what they do best. Very few notes.
Defensively... many notes. The linebackers looked slow and ill-prepared for Tabor's legs, the defensive line was eaten alive, and at some point, every single defensive back was targeted successfully. A truly terrible display from everyone on the defence. It needs to get better than this, or it'll be a rough year. Ajax x Krajewski is the only reason they are above the Galaxy, for now.

3 - Paris Musketeers (1-0)
No change from the previous week
The uncomfortable truth is that Paris seriously got away with murder vs the Frankfurt Galaxy. Scraping a 21-20 win after the Galaxy refused to kick a field goal from the one-yard line is a very unusual situation. However, they did have some seriously impressive moments, particularly from their defensive unit.
Liggins, Gouadfel, Sy, Gomis, and Barbaras all had defensive player-of-the-week potential (Gouadfel was the Matt Bressington DPOTW). The whole unit was spectacular for the most part. Both Nordic and Munich will have to work hard to beat it. Flags need to be cleaned up, though.
The offence was rusty; Zach Edwards did not look magical in this game after his time off. This was rather predictable and forgivable; the surprise was how early the run was taken away from them. QB Spies gave Edwards trouble, and he was not able to get his legs going early. This seemed to rattle the plan for a short time. Receivers struggled to get open in the first three quarters, and when they did, they dropped the balls. Lots of improvements to be made.

2 - Munich Ravens (1-0)
-1 from the previous week
Another submission, I believe, that will surprise people. Munich was literally unstoppable on offence, getting points on every single drive they had against the Raiders. Tabor is the week one MVP front-runner (watch out for another article about that) and looked excellent as he distributed the ball across his weapons.
So why number two? To be honest, I don't know. They gave up 30; that's certainly a factor in how I feel. But I have a thought that with a more disciplined opposition defence and an opposition that can control the clock, Munich COULD see some issues. Keeping the Munich offence off the field and playing bully ball are the only avenues available for now. They are outstanding across the field and will be bouncing between 1 and 2 most weeks.

1 - Nordic Storm (1-0)
+1 from the previous week
The Nordic Storm looked amazing in week one, like Munich, they dominated from whistle to whistle and never looked in trouble. Glen Toonga is back, he was at aobut 75% from what I could see. In addition to the ground game, Jadrian Clark and Brendan Beaulieu look like they haven't had six months away from each other. Many players had individual moments to shine, so it's boring to just list them off. Just know they were untouched.
We need to see them play a team in the top half of the EFA. That would go a long way in grading them going forward. However, these are the power rankings for week one, and the league's momentum is very Nordic Storm right now.
